We really have no need for this page... We can use the Discussion to contact each other. The only use I can see for this is for setting up presentation stuff and the handout.
You remebered about the handout right?
yeah, who's gonna do that? -(anne)
My thoughts were that we'd each add parts to it here, then when it's done copy it into a word document and print it out.
good idea

here is the about the author page, for whoever wants to put it together, if it needs more info just let me know

finally finished the themes with quotes, now it should look better and be easier to understand.
you may want to include some more suportive quotes, and split each them into it's own paragraph. also remember that all of the quotes should have page numbers after them

idk if this will show up, but here's a start on the handout. by the way, i still think reading or acting out a passage is the easiest way to go, esp. since there's no movie. but if anyone's got any ideas on which scene we could use, speak up...

I still think that we should use the lego interpretation of the book, being it is kind of funny but still gets the main point out, without too many spoilers in it, but that is just my opinion

Here is some of the genetic engineering parts of the handout, just the basics of what it could be used for, not the controversy behind it.

nick, put this wherever, and critique it, i really don't care, i just figured that it would be easier to copy something down, so don't forget the quotations around it.

the citation is obviously going to be wikipedia but here is the url anyway:

Here's the basic skeleton for the Handout, just got a few areas to fill in.

The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer

The House of the Scorpion, by Nancy Farmer, takes place in the future. In Opium, a strip of land between the United States and what used to be Mexico, a wealthy drug lord controls a vast empire where humans, "zombies" and clones all reside. The 140 year old man constantly relies on his clones to stay alive, and without them, the empire would crumble.

just added a little, don't know if you would like it or not
